Arena das Dunas replaced the now demolished Machadao stadium in the city of Natal. The construction has been finished in December and the stadium will host four group matches in the 2014 FIFA World Cup

The stadium is inspired by the sand dunes that are one of the spectacular natural attractions of the region which even reflects in its name. Arena das Dunas is highly acclaimed for its architecture, design and the facilities. The stadium fits 42,000 spectators and is home to Amirica, ABC and Alecrim clubs
