During their most dominant phase in the 60s, Ghana once famously held spanish giants Real Madrid 3-3 which is followed by consecutive African Cup of Nations wins. They enjoy fierce rivalry against their continental neighbors Nigeria
Ghanaian attack is well accomplished with their ability to score from closer and long ranges, free kicks and headers. However their defense lags behind on many counts especially vulnerable from flanks

History
Ghana has qualified for their third straight World Cup, having reached the last 16 in 2006 and the last 8 in 2010. They have also won four African Cup of Nations and reached the finals of four more. They are undoubtedly the best team from West Africa
Qualification
After reaching the final playoffs by topping their qualifying group, with an impressive tally of 15 goals to 3, Ghana outclassed African bigwigs Egypt 7-3 over two legs. They are set to play their third consecutive World Cup
Prospects
Group G represents the group of death, especially for Ghana. The three opponents look superior to the black stars although their previous encounters with USA, Ghana won both those games, would imbibe some confidence into the team. however any upset by Ghana would have a huge impact on the group
